Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) Remake

The Embracer Group has provided an update on the development of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) Remake. The information was revealed in the company’s year-end report, which listed all games currently planned for release or in development as of May 24, 2023.

The KOTOR Remake is listed as being in development at an internal Embracer Group studio for release on PlayStation 5 and PC. The game’s development history has been somewhat turbulent. Initially revealed in 2021 by developer Aspyr, the project was later handed over to Saber Interactive, another subsidiary of the Embracer Group, in 2022. The reasons for this change are unclear, but the game is still on track for future release.
